The panel will analyze the current Level VIII Electronic Inspection definition and potential barriers and limitations of the definition. There will be discussion around whether this program will be voluntary or required for motor carriers and the benefits assumed by enforcement and industry.

Should there be a technical specification, operational policy, etc.? Each table will discuss whether a complete driver license return is needed and if implementation of the Level VIII Electronic Inspection needs to be in stages with different sub-types to allow for scalability of the program.

We will recap days one and two, allowing for additional discussion. We will identify what was learned from the forum and areas that need to be addressed as the project moves forward. The group will discuss what is needed to launch a Level VIII Electronic Inspection operational test. We will identify the requirements, such as traffic flows and technology, needed to participate in an operational test and solicit participation from technology providers, carriers and enforcement.
