Hazardous Materials Specialist
The hazardous materials specialist will assist the director of hazardous materials programs in the leadership, direction and administration of all aspects of the Alliance’s commercial motor vehicle hazardous materials activities. This position is responsible for assisting with the completion of deliverables for all federal cooperative agreements, contracts and grants; managing activities of the CVSA Hazardous Materials Committee; enhancing the Cooperative Hazardous Materials Enforcement Development program and conference; developing and managing implementation of the North American Standard Level VI Inspection Program and related activities; developing and managing the Alliance’s Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Road Blitz and related inspection, awareness and enforcement initiatives; representing the Alliance at stakeholder meetings and events; providing advice and counsel on hazardous materials regulations, legislation, out‐of‐service criteria, inspection procedures, operational policies, and information systems and technologies; and much more.
This position has the potential to be based in a remote office environment.

Membership Coordinator
The membership coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day management, oversight and quality control of the organization’s association management system. This position is responsible for managing membership revenue recognition schedules and email distribution and mailing lists within the AMS; updating all areas of the organization’s website relevant to membership activity; promoting the organization and fostering partnerships with external stakeholders; communicating with existing and potential members, sponsors and exhibitors; attending and supporting CVSA meetings and events; and much more.
This position will be based at our headquarters office in Washington, D.C.
