On April 29, 2014, Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx sent Congress a multi-year surface transportation reauthorization proposal, the GROW AMERICA Act.
The Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA) states the following regarding the reauthorization proposal:
“We commend the department for putting forth their Reauthorization proposal. We are reviewing it to see how it fits with CVSA’s priorities and what our members need to advance their safety goals. We look forward to working with the DOT and Congress over the coming months to put forth a long-term transportation bill that reflects our shared commitment to addressing the nation’s commercial vehicle safety needs and provides the necessary resources and tools for advancing our safety agenda.”
