Benefits and Services

As a CVSA associate member, you are among the nearly 3,000 members who are committed to helping the Alliance achieve its goal of uniformity, compatibility and reciprocity of commercial motor vehicle inspections and enforcement throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. Below are just some of the benefits of being a CVSA associate member.

  • CVSA Operations Manual – You’ll have access to Inspection Bulletins, CVSA Bylaws, CVSA Operational Policies and Inspection Procedures, and more.
  • Conferences and Workshops – Our conferences, workshops and meetings provide networking and educational opportunities with other industry members and enforcement officials, plus the opportunity to share your ideas, feedback and perspectives with others in government and the transportation safety industry.
  • Committees – Unless otherwise specified, you are welcome to participate in any number of CVSA committees, open to our entire membership – whether that’s in person at our meetings and conferences, during our committee conference calls, or online by viewing the agendas, minutes, action items and other important documents in your private CVSA online account. Committee participation offers our associate members the opportunity to address critical issues that impact commercial motor vehicle safety and security. Our committees focus on areas ranging from vehicle, driver and traffic enforcement to hazardous materials, training and information systems; just to name a few.
  • Complimentary Handbook – You will receive a complimentary copy of CVSA’s latest “North American Standard Out-of-Service Criteria Handbook and Pictorial.” The handbook is an important tool for carriers, drivers, technicians and maintenance personnel. Not only does it identify critical vehicle inspection items but it also details the criteria used for placing a driver or vehicle out of service.
  • Programs – Participate and support CVSA programs, all of which are well recognized throughout the industry, such as International Roadcheck, Operation Airbrake, Operation Safe Driver, Cooperative Hazardous Materials Enforcement Development (COHMED), Human Trafficking Prevention, the Level VI Inspection Program, North American Fatigue Management Program, and the North American Inspectors Championship.
  • Exhibiting and Sponsorship Opportunities – Market your product and/or service at one of our meetings. Members receive a substantial discount on all exhibit opportunities. Associate members contribute annually to support the Alliance’s mission and strategic goals and are responsible for the success of our meetings and events. As a contributor, you’ll garner exclusive, year-round opportunities to share and promote your organization’s brand and demonstrate your commitment to commercial vehicle safety and security.
  • Cumulative Sponsorship Levels – As an associate member, you have exclusive opportunities to promote your business by sponsoring various events, awards, programs, products, etc. Whether you make an annual donation or sponsor a specific event, all your contributions are tabulated cumulatively and applied to your sponsorship level. Increased levels in sponsorship mean more member benefits for your company.
