This morning, the House voted to approve the Surface Transportation Reauthorization & Reform Act of 2015. Once the House bill has been updated with all the amendments that were agreed to on the House floor, the bill will be transmitted to the Senate and the two chambers will begin conferencing their respective bills. Leadership hopes to resolve any differences between the House and Senate and agree to a final bill prior to the November 20, 2015, expiration of current program authority. A number of the amendments that were agreed to in the House will impact the motor carrier title. CVSA staff is currently reviewing the changes and will send out a revised summary of the bill once the review is complete.
