Level VI Train the Trainer Course

March 7-9, 2023

Charleston, South Carolina

Course and General Information

Target Audience

The target audience is state/provincial agency Level VI CVSA-certified inspectors (Class I Members).

Operational Policy

As specified in CVSA Operational Policy 6 – Inspector Certification, each U.S. state or Canadian province Level VI refresher trainer must attend the Level VI Train the Trainer Course every two years.

CVSA’s Operational Policy 4 – Inspector Training and Certification specifies that a Level VI CVSA-certified inspector must successfully complete eight hours of the Level VI refresher training within 24 months of completing his/her Basic Level VI Training Course or the inspector’s last Level VI refresher training. Refresher training is conducted by the person who successfully completed the Level VI Train the Trainer Course every two years. If an inspector/officer does not complete the above requirement, their certification will be suspended and in order to become re-certified, the inspector will have to successfully complete the Basic Level VI Training Course. An inspector must maintain their certification to conduct North American Standard Level I Inspections and North American Standard Hazardous Materials/Dangerous Goods Inspections.
