On Oct. 21, 2019, CVSA submitted comments to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) hours-of-service notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM). CVSA’s comments addressed proposed changes published by FMCSA on the short-haul limits, the exception for adverse driving conditions, the 30-minute rest break provision, the split sleeper berth rule and the extension of the 14-hour on-duty period by up to three hours.
