On Jan. 17, 2019, CVSA submitted comments to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) in opposition to an exemption request from North Shore Environmental Construction Inc. (NSEC) for exemption from the 14-hour on-duty period. The application from NSEC requests that the company’s drivers be exempt from the 14-hour on-duty period when responding to an environmental emergency.
