Industry Roadside Inspection Vehicle Requirements Course – Canadian Regulations

The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) has partnered with CVSA to offer CVSA’s week-long training course on Canadian vehicle regulatory roadside inspection requirements and out-of-service conditions. It will take place March 14-18, 2022, at the Holiday Inn and Suites Calgary South – Conference Centre.

Instructed by CVSA Director of Roadside Inspection Program Kerri Wirachowsky and contractor Alex Bugeya, this course includes information on steps 14 through 37 of the North American Standard Level I Inspection Procedure focusing on vehicle-related regulatory requirements as per National Safety Code Standard 11B, the application of the out-of-service criteria and how to document violations.

This course is intended to provide industry with training to better understand the roadside regulatory requirements. The goal of the training is to provide each motor carrier with the tools and knowledge to achieve compliance with the roadside safety regulations and a better understanding of the relationship between regulatory requirements and out-of-service conditions.
