CVSA is offering its new virtual Crude Oil Transportation Course on Thursday, Sept. 8. This six-hour course will introduce inspectors to the regulatory and transportation history of crude oil as well as a review of current compliance requirements specific to crude oil in bulk packaging. The course will include instruction and a post-test. Prior to attending this training, you should already have some knowledge of the hazardous materials table, shipping papers, marking, labeling and placarding. This course WILL NOT cover 49 CFR Part 172 in detail but will provide a high-level overview of the regulations.
The deadline for registration is Monday, Aug. 29.
Note: Group registrations are not permitted. All registrations are processed per individual and all who register must have an individual CVSA account.
If Sept. 8 doesn’t work for you, the course is also being offered on Wednesday, Sept. 7.
This training course was made possible by a Hazardous Materials Instructor Training grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.
NOTE: If you are unable to attend this training course but are interested in this and/or other industry training courses we have planned for the future, fill out our online training interest form. You will be notified via email once the course in which you expressed interest is scheduled and registration is open.
