On Feb. 4, 2020, CVSA President Sgt. John Samis with the Delaware State Police testified at the U.S. Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committees’ Subcommittee on Transportation and Safety hearing titled “Keep on Truckin’: Stakeholder Perspectives on Trucking in America”. In his testimony, Sgt. Samis asked Senators to provide states with the flexibility and resources needed to continue to improve safety and keep pace with the rapidly changing commercial motor vehicle industry. In addition to CVSA, the subcommittee also heard from witnesses representing the American Trucking Associations, Livestock Marketing Association, Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association and the Truck Safety Coalition.
