Whether it is driver, truck, or anything from cargo, to information and technology — CVSA offers a committee for you. Our members are actively involved in fostering a culture of uniformity across all areas of commercial vehicle safety and they are making a difference each and every day. Promoting effective traffic enforcement strategies to reduce Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) crashes our Driver-Traffic Enforcement Committee provides leadership through uniformity and conformity of driver related safety issues.
The Hazardous Materials Committee provides technical expertise related to hazardous materials/transportation of dangerous goods in an effort to reduce incidents and encourage uniformity and consistency in the application of the regulations.
Information Systems Committee serves the needs of the CMV safety program and supports CVSA's mission.
Intelligent Transportation Systems Committee works to ensure a safe, efficient and economically sound transportation system through the use of information technologies.
The North American Inspectors Championship Committee recognizes roadside inspectors for demonstrating inspector excellence as well as providing contestants with education on the latest commercial vehicle safety issues.
Passenger Carrier Committee ensures an environment free of passenger-carrier accidents on the public highways.
The Program Initiatives Committee develops strategies to enhance CVSA's effectiveness in support of the strategic plan through analysis of best practices in current and new/innovative program
Size and Weight Committee helps establish uniformity of size and weight regulations that will serve the needs of industry while protecting our infrastructures.
Our Training Committee identifies training needs and develops courses leveraging the latest methodologies and technologies to help achieve excellence in the performance, quality training and uniformity of commercial vehicle inspections.
Playing a vital role in enhancing the security of our homeland, the Transportation Security Committee provides a forum to identify, develop, implement, and evaluate education, enforcement and information sharing strategies for enhancing commercial motor vehicle security.
